Terms of Engagement / Service Terms
These terms set out what Liaison is, what it is not, how the case assessment works, when a mandate begins, how fees are treated, and the boundaries of the service.
1. Nature of the service
Liaison is a private handling desk for selected property matters under pressure. It may involve review of documents, structured enquiries, correspondence, negotiation posture, counterparty handling, sequencing, and matter management within the agreed scope.
2. What the service is not
Liaison is not presented as routine brokerage, ordinary market advisory, blanket legal advice, or court representation. Where other specialist services are required, they are separate from the desk unless expressly included in writing.
3. Selective acceptance
Liaison accepts matters selectively. The desk may decline at enquiry stage, after the complimentary call, or after the case assessment. No client has an automatic right to a mandate.
4. No mandate by enquiry alone
An enquiry, a website form, a complimentary call, or submission of documents does not create a mandate. A mandate exists only when Liaison expressly accepts the matter and the mandate fee is received or another written commencement instruction is given by the desk.
5. Case assessment scope
The case assessment is the first paid stage. It covers review of the supplied file, targeted enquiries where appropriate, consideration of comparable resolved matters, and a concise written verdict with recommended route.
The assessment is a separate service. It is not the mandate itself and does not promise that a mandate will be offered.
6. Fees and timing
The complimentary call carries no fee. The case assessment fee is AED 2,000 and is due in advance of assessment work. The Liaison Mandate fee is AED 18,000 and is due when the mandate is accepted and before mandate work begins, unless the desk confirms another payment route in writing.
7. Outcome treatment
If the mandate succeeds and saves the client more than the mandate fee, the fee is retained. If the mandate fails, AED 8,000 is returned and a full correspondence-and-evidence report is provided.
For these service terms, a mandate is treated as failed where Liaison concludes the mandate without securing a practical result that exceeds the mandate fee.
8. Scope discipline
The desk works on the matter and scope agreed. If the matter changes materially, new issues are introduced, or the client redirects the file substantially, Liaison may restate scope or financial treatment in writing before continuing.
9. Client responsibilities
Supply accurate information and material documents.
Respond to approval requests in a reasonably timely way.
Tell the desk about direct communications with counterparties that may affect the file.
Do not represent that a mandate exists until it has been accepted formally.
10. Limits of the service
Liaison does not guarantee an outcome. Some matters are already beyond recovery. The desk aims to identify that quickly and state it clearly. The existence of the site and the payment route does not alter those limits.
